3 Pointer Challenge for MANA!
GARDNER-WEBB MEN’S BASKETBALL TO TAKE ACTIVE ROLE IN FIGHT AGAINST CHILD HUNGER DURING SATURDAY NIGHT GAME WITH LIBERTY
BOILING SPRINGS – Gardner-Webb men’s basketball will take an active role in the fight against child hunger Saturday night when it takes on Liberty in Paul Porter Arena (7:00 pm tip).
The Runnin’ Bulldogs and head coach Chris Holtmann are partnering with MANA (Mother Administered Nutritive Aid / mananutrition.com) to provide a case of Ready to Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) for every 3-pointer made in Saturday’s game.
Opening tip is set for 7:00 pm, and the game will be televised on ESPN3 (WatchESPN.com).
“Severe malnutrition in children is a significant issue, and this organization is making real progress in the fight against it,” said Gardner-Webb head coach Chris Holtmann. “We are in a position to help, and Saturday night is a perfect opportunity to allow our guys a chance to give back and make an impact beyond the basketball court. A case of MANA administered over the course of six weeks can literally save a child’s life. It’s a terrific cause and one we’re very excited to be involved with.”
