Number plates. I received them today, and they were promptly riveted to the truck. The plates cost 130,400 RwF ($221). Riveting was only $3.50. Thanks for sticking with me through the saga. You won’t hear anything else about number plates! Now, on to the next chapter.
I went to the Rwanda Bureau of Standards today to learn as much as possible about the regulations that will govern MANA in Rwanda. The meetings were very beneficial and the people extremely kind. Next week I’ll meet with the Director General to discuss MANA and what we need to do to ensure that we’re in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations. Additionally, I’ll ask what MANA can do to participate in the development of a safe food industry in Rwanda.
I have my eyes on a building in our current neighborhood that seems to be what we’re looking for. I’m going to ask one our real estate guys to help me learn more about it. I’ll post a picture tomorrow.
