Well, it’s official. I have a work permit! It’s just for three months since we “don’t have a factory set up yet,” but at least the work permit will enable the clearing agent to complete the vehicle registration process. Number plates possibly tomorrow by noon.
I had coffee with a lady who has a master’s degree in nutrition. She has a great passion for helping mothers in the villages of Rwanda understand more about nutrition and how they can ensure that their children are well nourished. She’s also a mother herself and grew up in rural Rwanda.
Several of the people I’ve asked for help with finding a potential factory location contacted me, so next week I’ll be looking at some facilities!
Tonight some our friends who work with the Peace Corps in southwestern Rwanda are staying with us. Almost every child in the village where they work is malnourished/stunted. They’re working to change that.
